Who needs a gym full of equipment when you can get a total-body workout just by using the great outdoors??  Mother Nature may not provide all the fancy equipment you need, but with some tweaks and creativity, you can take your training from the dungeon gym into the sunshine. Not only does sweating it out surrounded by trees, blue skies and yep, even a little rain make you appreciate all that nature has to offer, it will actually help you  burn more fat too!

Outdoor workouts also have great physical benefits.  Training on uneven terrains requires more muscle control and balance and your body has to work harder with every step.

A study published by the research journal, Environmental Science and Technology compared indoor and outdoor training in more than 800 subjects and found that people who exercise outdoors have decreased tension, anger and stress as well as better energy levels than subjects who only workout indoors. A little sweat in the sun might just relieve some stress and make you feel better!
